Leila cut her teeth in school choirs and took part in school festivals when she was at Seeta Boarding Primary School and at Naalya Secondary School Namugongo for her O-Level. She continued the same road when she joined Greenville International School for A-Level. Leila Kayondo, has graduated from Uganda Christian University in Mukono where she was pursuing a bachelos degree in social works and social administration

started singing professionally 2007 with Dream Galz a formerly singing group that was owned by Eddy Yawe (a musician and owner of Dream studios).

Later quit in 2010 and started her solo career with songs like Kilumanyo ,Nkwagala,kantutigise with Aziz Azion Kuzina nawe ,one moment with Gnl Zamba ,to mention but a few.
She has collaborated with a number of established like Dr.Jose chameleon,Gnl Zamba,Dr.Hilderman,Dan Fleva and others. Her collaboration with Dr.Jose chameleon on a song known as #relaxing had been one of her success.

Recently she has collaborated with Good lyf on a song called Lelo tompona and yet to release the video soon.
